Dear Colleague,
You may have noticed that you haven’t received our quarterly newsletter, the Evaluator, in a while. That hasn’t been for lack of material or desire to reach out to our members; we have just been focusing on bringing our news and information to you in more convenient ways. We hope that you are receiving timely e-mails from ERB about matters as they arise. The focus of our quarterly e-newsletters will now be to recap information from the previous quarter, as well as update you about things on the horizon.

We would like to thank you for all of you for your continued support of ERB. We hope that you all have a safe, healthy, and Happy Thanksgiving!

President’s Message at the Annual Conference

Our annual conference in October was a wonderful event! This was perhaps one of the most successful conferences in recent history, judging by the high level of professional development, unique and timely material covered, and positive feedback from attendees.

We would like to thank all of our speakers, but a special note of thanks should go to our member schools that presented in our “Member Spotlight Sessions”: The British American School of Chicago, The Pine Crest School, Sidwell Friends School, and St. Mark’s Episcopal School. Attendees found practical hands-on case studies to be some of the most worthwhile sessions at the conference. We encourage more of our members to submit proposals for presenting at the conference. We would be proud to host a platform for your ideas and methods that you would like to share with your colleagues.

I would like to share my opening comments from the conference for all ERB members. I believe it captures the essence of why we are in this profession, and reminds us why our calling is perhaps society’s most important social work.
